Bio
Dale Breunig
(contact) 29 May 2004 Dale Breunig is a native of Southern California. Born and raised in Riverside, he moved to Palm Springs in 1996 where currently he resides. An active member of Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert, he plays in integral role in the coordination of events that benefit both local and national charities and leather organizations. He is an avid supporter of the Desert AIDS Project’s Food Depot, Gay Associated Youth and The Leather Archive Museum in Chicago. Dale's investment in these organizations attest to his commitment to his community, his compassion for others and to the deep sense of responsibility he feels toward perpetuating and safeguarding the rich heritage of his leather tribe. Dale is a man of extraordinary integrity, whose platform as a title holder rises above voice and vague visibility. He is an activist! Whether it is volunteering with the Desert AIDS Project, raising money for the Palm Springs AIDS Assistance Program or producing his annual "Battle of the Bars" which raise funds to support the Coachella Valley Kid's Camp, his activism and integrity are evident. Dale is recognized for his broad sense of family, a recognition that has etched his spirit upon the hearts of those to whom he devotes his time and energies: The Palm Springs Bears; The Leather/Uniform Club of Las Vegas; The San Diego Golden State Gay Rodeo Associations. Deservedly, he has served as host and master of ceremony for many of their local and regional fundraisers and events. Titles are familiar friends, and contests are chartered territory for Dale. In 1999 he won the title of Mr. Palm Springs Leather. That victory led him to Chicago to compete at IML. In the summer of 2002 Dale claimed the Southern California Leather Sir. That fall Dale returned from international competition in St. Petersburg, Florida as the first International Leather Sir 2002. While Dale's character and conscience are recognized by his pride, his power and his participation, his heart is recognized by the words which have become his credo: "A man holds unlimited wealth as long as he treasures his friends."
