Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Chris has been a member of the Leather community in Las Vegas for
the last 15 years. For the last 11 years, Chris has been working
as an HIV Prevention Specialist for Incarcerated Men, Women and
Youth and a certified HIV Treatment Educator for people living
with HIV/AIDS. He is a nationally recognized speaker regarding
"Living with HIV", and a National Lobbyist. Chris has been involved
in every aspect of the community. From being a founding member of
the Blackjack Bears of Las Vegas, on the board of Directors for the
Gay and Lesbian Center, a member of the NGRA (NV Gay Rodeo Assoc.),
an assoc member of the Satyricons M/C, and a past member and
President of LUC (Leather Uniform Club of LV) to being Grand
Duke V of the Royal court, current member of the LVLOG (Las Vegas
League of Gentlemen) and Board Member of NLA-LV chapter and
member of NCSF. He has also been a 3-time nominee for Rocky
Mountain Regional Leatherman of the year for the Pantheon of
Leather awards. Chris believes in openness and acceptance and
believes that there is a place for everyone in the community.

Duane Mantey

Southwest Leatherboy 2003
In 1987, Duane began SM BD sub training in his first gay relationship
with an old guard Master. He learned about leather protocols, proper
leather care, traditions and the like. Duane started Mojo Gear in
1999, a custom leather work contract tailoring business. He has been
a bootblack for the Padlock bar, Minneapolis Eagle, ATONS of Minneapolis
30th Anniversary Run, and was a contestant twice at the International
Mr. Bootblack Contest in Chicago. In 2003, Duane was elected
Secretary/ Treasurer of the Phoenix boys of Leather, and began
contributing a column covering the local leather scene, which is
published in X-Factor magazine. At heart, Duane is a bootboy who
LOVES boots, and all that proper care of leather, service and
attention to detail which epitomizes the bootblack.
