Henry James is International Community Bootblack 2006, and has the title of Southwest Bootblack 2006. He believes that bootblacking is a tradition, and a means to honor the old ways while living the new ones. Henry is a member of the Lone Wolves Leather family and the primary bootblack for the Venture-N bar in Tucson, AZ. He is also an active advocate for transgender understanding and incorporating Buddhist philosophies into the Leather lifestyle.

Believing that every person has a little bootblack in them, Henry wants to give them a chance to bring it to the surface and enjoy working with boots and leather. His dream is to create an army of bootblacks and to increase the greater Leather community’s understanding of bootblacking.
