ILSb/ICBB 2008 Judging Panel

Nikitas Chondroyannos

Nikitas Chondroyannos is 26 years of age and is both a Canadian and Greek citizen. Ever since he can remember he has been drawn to leather. Nikitas’ recalls completely submitting to his leather sexuality at the first ever ‘Folsom Europe’ event in Berlin. His first exposure to leather eroticism, as for many leather men, was through the works of Tom of Finland. Nikitas has spent the last eight years travelling the world, working for various organizations and exploring his leather self.

In 2004 he was a part of the production team, which choreographed the ceremonies for the Athens 2004 summer games. He is a member of the European based ‘BLUF’ uniform league and has organized several high profile events for the organization. In 2006, Nikitas challenged the Human Rights Tribunal of British Columbia (Canada) for their failure to fully recognize the rights of HIV positive citizens under its own unique accord. He won his case and a settlement that saw a considerable donation made to a Vancouver based gay men’s health organization. In the latter part of 2007 Nikitas was offered a position with RECON to open their USA base and now lives in Chicago Illinois where he oversees the USA extension of the UK based fetish network.

Tony Buff

His passion for the Sadomasochistic arts has made Tony a recognized activist and leader in his local community.  In addition to teaching workshops, performing demos and helping out with various fundraising events, Tony served as Washington State Mr. Leather in 2002.  He now serves as a Member at Large on the Board of Generic Leather Productions of Washington as a Board Member and Producer for the Washington State Mr. and Ms Leather Organization.

He is also a member of Seattle Men in Leather and an associate member of the Chicago Hellfire Club.  Tony's deepest connections are with the members of his leather family, the Dragon Clan and his collared boys.

For his involvement, Tony has been twice knighted by the Imperial Sovereign Court of Seattle and received the Leather Emerald Award in 2003; has been sainted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Abbey of St Joan and was most recently adopted by Sandy Reinhardt into Mama’s Family as "Mama's Big Screen."

John Pendal

John Pendal was the 25th person (and first ever Brit) to win the International Mr. Leather contest in Chicago. He raffled the Harley Davidson that was part of his prize to raise money for the Leather A rchives and Museum in Chicago and the Spanner Trust in the UK. He became a Spanner Trustee in May 2004 and also served as its Chairman for a year.

John continues to travel to leather events around the world to teach SM, host leather contests and give presentations, such as the closing keynote speech at the 11th Leather Leadership Conference in Minneapolis. He is a regular columnist on www.Leatherpage.com and an Associate member of the Chicago Hellfire Club. His long-suffering partner of 15 years is David Harris, who is also the official photographer for this event.

Woodie Barnes

Woodie has over 23 years experience in BDSM. He has been an active member in the leather community Mid-Atlantic and Florida for over 11 years. woodie co/produced hooker/boys productions "12 Days Of Christmas" .  woodie won PA drummerboy 1999, Mid-Atlantic drummerboy 1999 and International drummerboy 1999.  He was the first boy to win Pantheon’s Man Of The Year in 2001.

Sir Mike Russell

Sir Mike lives in San Diego CA with his partner Jack of 6 years and their dog Sheba.  He is the second person and second Californian to win the title of International LeatherSIR.  He won his title at the Sun Coast Inn in St Petersburg FL in 2003.

As a country boy from Texas, there are no strangers to Mike; just someone else to get to know, or play with, and tie up.  He believes "everyone" has a deviant sexual side, which is why he loves to connect and share Energy.  One way he shares his primal energy is by volunteering as Den Daddy for the Mr. San Diego Leather contest. Mike is the creator and producer of the Pantheon nominated Annual San Diego Leather Community Awards where the community pats itself on the back for the work "it" does.

On Thanksgiving Eve, Mike and Jack deep fry turkeys and invite the members of the community to join them in being thankful for family/friends.  Community concerns challenged Mike to spend the last two years studying to become an alcohol and substance abuse counselor.  He is an avid sports fan and loves working out!  In between times, he enjoys practicing making babies, and he’s a community volunteer.  Most importantly to Mike, he is the father of two great sons; one serving in the US Army.  He is also a very proud grandfather.

Mr. Marcus Hernandez

Celebrating his 38th year as the leather columnist in San Francisco's Bay Area Reporter, (Mr.) Marcus Hernandez has been covering the worldwide leather scene since October 1971. He has contributed articles and photos to Drummer Magazine, The Leather Journal, the annual International Mr. Leather Program, the annual International Mr. Drummer Program, and many other publications.

He has been honored as the Outstanding Columnist in the public voting for San Francisco's Cable Car Awards so many times, he was taken out of contention and placed in the Hall of Fame in that category.

Marcus has received numerous other awards including two Pantheon of Leather awards, the National Emerald Award and tributes from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the Secretary of State of California and San Francisco’s Inter-Club Fund Motorcycle Awards the latest being Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. In 2007, he was voted Man of the Year in San Francisco’s Inter-Club Fund’s Annual Motorcycle Awards. He was recently awarded accolades by a San Diego City Councilwoman.

Marcus has been judging International Mr. Leather since 1980 and is now the Judge Emeritus for life on that panel. He has judged leather contests from coast to coast, in Canada and in Europe and is also the Judge Emeritus for the American Brotherhood Weekend titles and International LeatherSIR/boy contests. He was the Judges' Coordinator for International Mr. Drummer for some seven years and has served on the board of directors of the Mr. San Francisco Leather Contest for some 20 years ago.

He recent mayor of San Francisco (Willie L. Brown, Jr.) honored Marcus by proclaiming the entire month of November 2000 as Mr. Marcus Month in honor of his 31st year milestone as the leather columnist in San Francisco’s Bay Area Reporter.

Ms Kendra

Ms Kendra has been a part of the Leather community for over 25 years. Ms Kendra is the Executive Director and owner of the Great Lakes Leather Alliance. The website can be found at www.greatlakesleather.org.

Serving the Board of Directors for the Leather Archives and Museum for the past few years has been an honor and a privilege. Ms Kendra received the Woman of the Year award at the Pantheon of Leather 2006. Living in Indianapolis, Indiana, owning slave garret and enjoying Samantha Christine, a beloved Maltese, as well as traveling extensively have been some of the most rewarding years. Being a part of the Leather community has been a wonderful part of life’s journey.

alex Dunlop

boy alex, (Mama's Canadian Bootblack) has been living life as a bootblack and a leather boy in the Toronto leather community for the past eight or so years. He also has traveled to many leather events and considers himself lucky to have met many mentors and friends at home and in the International Leather community who has shared knowledge and passion with him.

alex is a founding member of the Toronto boys of Leather and is an active contributor to the  Mr. Leatherman Toronto organization. In 2006, alex held the title of Bootblack Toronto and went on to compete in the ICBB contest that year where he received the Community Choice award. boy alex has developed and delivered workshops and forums on bootblacking and leather boy topics at home and on his travels. Alex says: "my leather life is a transforming experience and it is a joy to pass along what is so freely shared with me."

Master Mike Zuhl

Master Mike is the founder, past owner and Judge Emeritus of the International LeatherSIR/boy contests. He previously produced the International Mr. Drummer and Drummerboy contests.

His current passion is the Leather Skills Certification Council, a certification program open to all who wish to obtain different levels of skill certifications within our leather kink lifestyle. This will be an online process with peer review conducted anonymously by certified Leathermen and Leatherwomen. The LSCC is open to tops, bottoms, Masters, slaves, Sirs, boys and others who wish to be certified in their Leather Lifestyle skills.

Master Mike is a dedicated Leatherman who has been teaching his leather skills to many others for the past 25 years. He is a past winner of the Pantheon of Leather awards for Community Choice Man of the Year, President’s Award and Couple of the Year. He is also the proprietor of Leather Central Leather Bar located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Master Mike lives with his partner of 11 years, slave and boy in a traditional protocol oriented leather family.

Queen Cougar

Queen Cougar began her open leather lifestyle in the famed Castro District of San Francisco in 1992. A tireless fundraiser, skilled workshop presenter and leather activist, she has assisted in the successful production of numerous fetish events.

Queen Cougar was a featured performer in the leatherwomen’s documentary "Bloodsisters" and appeared in the SM video "Safe, Sane & Consensual" and other BDSM scene related video projects. Known for her unique stage presence and performance abilities,

Ms Cougar has lead the national anthem or performed as a jazz vocalist at leather events. She is known as a top female emcee with IML, Drummer and numerous other contests in her resume credits.

A highly respected judge, she has served as Tallymistress and Den Mom at leather events on the national, regional and local levels. In 1993 Cougar held the simultaneous titles of "Ms. Headquarters" (a leather- uniform bar) and "Ms. San Francisco Leather". That same year she placed 1st runner-up at International Ms. Leather. Ms. Cougar was chosen "Leather Woman of The Year" in 1994 and 1995 by the readers of the SF "Leather /Levi Lexicon."

A recipient of numerous community service certificates and many "Pantheon Of Leather" nominations, she received the "Pantheon" Reader’s Choice "Woman Of The Year 2000" award.  The Queen is the leather daughter to Mr. Marcus Hernandez and is an associate of COMMAND, ONYX, The Philadelphians, NJ Andromeda and TULSA. With a perspective as broad as her leather resume she is proud to join the "players" at ILSB and ICBB!
