Master Sampson has been involved with the leather community for fifteen years. He has been fascinated with BDSM since the age of 6. Master Sampson started as a sub under a few different Masters then advanced to Sir and finally Master. He won the first runner up in the 2001 Mister Ozark Leather contest and went on to win the title of Mister Missouri Leather 2001. He competed at IML 2001 in Chicago. He has taken part in training sessions as an instructor within the BDSM community teaching flogging and bondage techniques. He trained two boys from 2001 till 2003. Both these boys now have contracts with other Masters.

Master Sampson served as a judge for the Mister Ozark Leather, Oklahoma Mister Leather and the Mister Texas Leather when Stephen Weber went on to become International Mister Leather 2002.

In 2004, Master Sampson took a retreat from the community to care for his mother and finish his MA in History. He returned to the community in 2007 with his partner of four years, Scott and now resides in Ste. Genevieve, MO where he is a Historic Preservation Consultant. His pup, Sparkie, has been part of the family for three years. Master Sampson and his partner are in the process of adding another boy to the household.

Master Sampson looks forward to representing Central Plains Region in San Francisco at the ILSb competition.

pup sparkie is 29 years old and has been active in the Leather Community for 8 years but in the Gay Community all his life. He grew up in Vermont, adopted by lesbian parents. Having this strong gay family has given him the opportunity to go to many different events such as Stonewall 25, most of the AIDS Quilt Showings in DC and several Gay Prides. He has lived in almost every region of the USA, before settleing in Missouri and has learned different aspects about his life in each place. He is the founding Vice President of the St Louis boys of Leather which he helped form in 2001 and currantly serves as their Vice President.

He enjoys Bootblacking, Fundraising and working with the Serendipty German Shepherd Rescue, helping to rehab and place abused and special needs dogs. As well doing leather events he likes to sing and work. He loves both of his jobs - as the Manager of a Ben and Jerry's Franchise and as a Independent Romance Consultant and Regional Recruiter for Temptations Adult Toy Parties.

Pup sparkie is collared by his Title SIR (Master Sam). He is also a member of Mama's Family where he is known as Mama's Leatherpup. He is very excited to be Central Plains Leatherboy 2009. He is looking forward to meeting new people and forming strong relationships with his fellow Brothers and the Leather Community during his title year and this competition.
