On our last day in Chicago, we spent the noon, sleeping in; at least those of us who weren’t wandering the motel "looking for fresh towels". I had grabbed a taxi and headed to the host hotel to have breakfast with Michael Egdes and to help him pack and make his flight. Nothing like the feel of his boots in my mouth... I mean hands, as I put them over his tight denim jeans and then carried out his luggage to the waiting taxi. After that, I found myself alone in the lobby. But not for long, Robert Valin came though asking if I wanted to feel his big heavy sausage. I grinned and asked what room number? All I remember is the number 69. After refreshing myself with some coffee, back in the lobby, Robert Guenther came though and we got to have one of those great philosophical conversations. The type of conversation, that stimulates you to be a better Leatherman and to become more active in the community. It had been a great morning, and it was still before noon. I finally grabbed another taxi and headed back to my room. After waking the rest of the guys, we showered, now that "someone" brought in fresh towels. Then headed back to the LA&M to continue the progress of putting together a complete set of Drummer magazines. It seems that every time I am at the LA&M, I always end up on the floor with my ass in the air. At least it always for a good cause and at the amusement of their great staff. Thanks Rick Storer.

While all dressed in our Leathers a few hours the before the Olympus contest, four of us ventured out in the cold for dinner. We attracted a lot of stares and a few comments. However, after dinner as we were standing on the sidewalk, a lady from the restaurant wearing a cocktail dress and pearls approached. She asked if we were going to "mount our Harley's and drive away". She seemed a little disappointed when we told her we were waiting for a taxi. As we talked about the cold weather, she asked if we were in town for the "Mr. Leather thing". When we told her about the Community Service awards and how involved our Leather community is in fund raising and supporting the many charities and non-profit groups, a huge smile came over her face. As fate would have it, she told us that she worked for a non-profit group in Chicago. At that moment, it was like we all shared in joys of community service that brings its own rewards. As she almost skipped down the street, I couldn't help but smile. I think we made her night, she sure made mine.

We hopped a taxi and headed to the Eagle for the Mr. and Mrs. Olympus contest. We arrived to a great crowd and got to see many of the wonderful Sirs and boys we had met that weekend. What a treat to see all of the contestants, even Mr. Tyrell, who had to endure driving from Tulsa to Omaha and back with me for IMsL last year. Great contestant fantasies and HOT and WET shower scenes between two leather gym studs. They could take their shower anywhere and still be hot. Amazing to watch Daddy Earl and his boy Eric play, and Lady Raven, turned a hospital room upside down. They will have a great void to fill in place of two giving people like Freddy and Caro. Two heart-felt speeches followed by their own step-down fantasy. I hope we all can relate Caro’s speech about the leather community. To summarize, "I am, because, you are. For all that you are, I am too."
