There is someting truly special between a Sir and his boy! The Mid-Atlantic region truly "SHINED" This weekend. With a star-studded cast from the past, present and now the future. Again it was wonderful to witness the many aspects of the community at a gathering that was just big enough to pay homage to International LeatherSIR 2004 Robert Davis's first and ever-so-successful production of the MALSb weekend.

Four contestants, two from Maryland and two from Pennsylvania. The energy was high and the emotions were even higher. I had the distinct pleasure of witnessing all aspects of this contest first hand. All contestants as far as I am concerned have a heart of gold and every one of them turned out to be winners in the end! However, the prevailing duo that won the hearts of the judges were none other than Sir Ryan Tittel and Boy Justin John Costello, both from Pennsylvania.

The weekend was amazing. Friday night at the Club Phoenix, Daddy Al Santora (double friggin WOOF) who was also the emcee for the contest introduced contestants and judges alike with pride and grace to a more than packed house of leather folk and enthusiasts.

Saturday...
Interviews from my opinion were all right on, with a panel of judges that knew exactly what they were doing. The judging panel included a vast aray of current and past title holders who knew exactly how to make the contestants squirm! Later that afternoon the contest resumed at the Club Hippo. Fantasies, fantastic. Emotions once again high and the on stage presentation of these four well deserving individuals made this a hard contest to speculate!

Sunday...
Daddy Charlie Palmer, you are the best! A pool party at Mr. Palmers house wound down the weekend and the guests of honor were the new Mid-Atlantic title holders as well as the Birthday guests, The First Lady of Leather Mary Elizabeth Boyd and Maryland/Mid-Atlantic Leatherboy 2005 Beetle. HAPPY BIRTHDY to you and thank you for letting me be a part of your celebration of life!

Over all I would like to thank my Mid-Atlantic family for making me a part of this experience. My extra special thanks go out to Sir Robert, Momma Hooker, Momma Connie, Master Mike, Chi, Boy Beetle, Sir Duc, Sir Dexter, Boy Stallion, Ma Holla ( you know who you are ) and a special unexpected friend Benjamin Rylie Palmer, International Mr. Bootblack 2006.
