ILb 2006 boy on Mid-Atlantic Leather
(L to R) International LeatherSIR 2006 ***********, International Leatherboy 2006 marshall, Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather 2007 Gary Samuels (photo: Dexter Edmond) MAL! MAL! MAL! This is what one of my title brothers exclaimed to me. And he put it precisely! The year has officially been kicked off again with a wonderful creation by the Centaur Motorcycle club of Washington, DC. What an unimaginable weekend. During my ventures out i went to the usual watering holes - Green Lantern, DC Eagle, Titans, DC Omega and the Firehouse. Thanks to all the bars for the warm hospitality. The event started off with a great gathering in the lobby as usual before going around to the bars. i had the chance to speak to many of the contestants while in the lobby and was happy to see that there was a rich brotherhood still going strong within the title community, and all were approaching the contest with a good head on their shoulders. There also were some great pre parties going on, and the occasional yelp from a single tail was heard. Then on Saturday, as usual; with the drop of a cock ring and a cocktail glass the traditional Leather Cocktails were underway. A fun time was had by all. Throughout this evening I was greeted by many of the boys from around the country. Thanks, boys, i am truly honored to have met with you. Also while there i was fortunate to meet up with more of the Deaf Leather Community and i have been taught a few more words to say. Thanks for the patience and time! Later on in the lobby the carousing was fun and very worth the wait in the end (thank god for extra lube). Not to mention meeting more of my ILSb brothers! The next night was not only a big night for the contestants but for me. It started with a wonderful performance by the DC Cowboys. Then the contest was off and running with two performances by Varla Jean Merman. Hysterics is what she left me in. Then it was time for the announcement of current title holders. This was a moment i will never forget. Five years ago i met a boy named jose and watched him walk down the stairs. Never could i have imagined that i too would someday walk down those stairs wearing the exact same sash that he wore. Another dream come true. Walking down that staircase and feeling the rush of the community and the cheers. Then rounding the the bend to stand at the top of the second flight of stairs, in parade rest just looking out over the community that had gathered. And finally passing down the aisle, when boy jose made sure he caught my attention to cheer me on. A moment like that only happens once in a lifetime. The final part of the night was what we all had come to see. Who would be the next Mid Atlantic Mr. Leather. In the end Gary Samuels; the current Mr. Double L; took home the regional title with Brian ‘Captain’ McCoy and Rudy Benavides being the runner-ups. The night was topped off with a wonderful wind down, get horned up, sweaty party at the 9:30 club. Of course there were many other parties in many rooms. And some of them were fun! HEHE. In the end the Centaur M.C. put on a great event and fun filled weekend as usual and i most certainly enjoyed myself for sure. The vendor mart was awesome. Thanks to CJ Leathers for all your help. Thank Eros for the lube (it has already come in HANDy)! i shall look back at this weekend and remember great people and friends coming together! WOOFS! In Leather Brotherhood,
boy marshall
