8th Annual The 12 Days of ChristmasP R E S S R E L E A S E
Dec 15, 2006, Baltimore, MD - Hooker and Boys Production whipped out another year of their tinsel town antics with the 8th annual production of The 12 Days of Christmas on December 9, 2006. Baltimore's Club Hippo set the stage for the greatest combined effort of the drag,leather, rodeo, straight, bisexual, and transgendered communities. Shawnna Alexander and Lauren Mitchell emceed a multitude of acts including singing, illusion, skits and who can forget Shaquitta's letter to Santa Claus. People came from near and far donating their money, time and talent to make this year's program a complete success. During the production there was a simultaneous silent auction, pictures of Mr and Mrs. Claus and sales of commemorative coffee mugs. Once again attendees were given their free copy of the 12 Days Program. This year's production was dedicated to Michael Zito for his continuing support of the LLGBST communities. Special Thanks to all that performed, volunteered, attended, the crew, the sponsors and the kind contributors. All money raised will be donated in memory of Marion E Newton, the late mother of Rik Newton-Treadway. The 8th annual 12 Days of Christmas was able to raise $9,471.00. Baltimore Pediatric HIV Program Inc., The GLCCB and the Kids on Wheels Foundation will each receive a check for $3,157.00. Hooker and Boys production is once again very humbled by the generous donations and support that made this possible. This is the miracle that only happens when people work together for the greater good of all - NO EXCEPTIONS. Seasons Greetings and a Happy New Year!
