There was one contestant for No. CA LeatherSIR, Will Hutchinson, no qualified contestants for No. CA Leatherboy, and two contestants for No. CA Community Bootblack, boy jean and boy will. Head Judge for the LeatherSIR/Leatherboy Contest was International LeatherSIR, Randal Kinnear, along with International Leatherboy boy marshall, Daddy Vick Germany, Joel Kislingbury, and Daddy Doug Mezzacapo for the LeatherSIR/Leatherboy Contest. Judges for the No. CA Community Bootblack Contest were Head Judge, International Community Bootblack Henry James, along with International Ms. Leather Bootblack Lady V, and Sir Tom Pupp. We were also honored to have Michael Gerle, 2007 IML in attendance, who spoke to the audience. The Robert Davolt Memorial Award for Service and Mentoring was awarded to Joel Kislingbury, 2004 Mr. Alameda County Leather, and now a resident of Tucson.

When the winners were announced, the 2007 Northern California Regional LeatherSIR was Will Hutchinson, who received a score above the 70% required to win. boy jean was the winner of the 2007 Northern California Community Bootblack Contest.

Because there was no qualified boy contestant, Northern California Regional LeatherSIR/Leatherboy Contest Producers/Sponsors Jay Hemphill and Michael Holeman appointed Brian Kurtela of Fresno as the 2007 Northern California Regional Leatherboy. Brian has been very active in the Leather Community for the past several years.

All three new Titleholders are members of Mamas Family.

Even though it was a chilly evening and the contest was held outside on the Eagle Patio, it was very well attended.

Many thanks to our Northern California LSb and No. California Community Bootblack staff, Mark Paladini, Dan Alexander, Darryl Jannson, Carlos Medal, Sir Tom Pupp, Daddy Doug Mezzacapo, and Andrew Johnson for their hard work and many months of planning the contests. Our DJ, well-known San Francisco DJ, outdid himself. Thanks to our sponsor Paul Johnson of Off Ramp Leather for the extraordinary patches, sponsor Crockett Awards and Trophies for their beautiful plaques and medallions, Marlena, of Marlena's Bar for allowing us to have our interviews there, and to the Eagle Tavern for fitting us in on a Saturday night during Dore Alley Weekend. Last but not least, thanks to Mama for everything that she did for us to make the contest a success. What a phenomenal lady!
