Aug 29, 2007, Wichita - Leather Camp III, one of the Midwest’s premier events, was held Aug 17 - 19 in Wichita, Kansas. The weekend was the 5th anniversary for WOOLF, and it played host to Leather Pride, Great Plains LeatherSir/boy/Community Bootblack, and Ms WOOLF Leather competition. Over 80 leather and BDSM folks from across North America gathered at the historic Broadview Hotel for a weekend of fun and learning.

Vendors set up their wares at the Vendor Market, open Friday and Saturday. These included the Dungeon Bazaar, The Leather Shop, Paledine’s Treasures, Prophett’s Toy Bag, and Prysm Creations with a special display from the Leather Archives and Museum and a display of the last 29 years of history of the Wichita Leather Community. The Friday night Meet and Greet at The OtherSide bar was emceed by Tom Stice. Saturday included classes such as Bondage 101 with Dart from Toronto, Balloon Fetishes with Buster from Phoenix, Whipcracking 101 with Mason from OKC, Temporary Piercing with Mistress Michelle from OKC and Fantasy to Reality with Karen UltraDomme from St Louis. The day continued with a cigar party (and a pool gathering that was rained out). Later that evening, dinner and the contest/show was held and included entertainment by SDK from San Francisco. Dart presented the Keynote address, a first for WOOLF.

Judges for Ms WOOLF were International LeatherSIR Randall Kinnear, Mason Alexander, Mistress Michelle, Karen Ultradomme, Master C (outgoing Great Plains LeatherSir), boy John (outgoing Great Plains Leatherboy), and local judge Mike Casebolt. Judges for Community Bootblack were Henry James (who won the Pepsi vending machine raffle), Ms V., and bootblack Merrie (outgoing Great Plains Community Bootblack). Mistress Aimee earned plenty of points to win the Ms WOOLF Leather title (she is contemplating competition at IMsL), and boy Elena also garnered more than enough points to walk away with Great Plains Community Bootblack. Kerry Ellison and Michael Lang have been appointed LeatherSir and boy, respectively, to compete at ILSb this October. Congratulations to each of the 4 title holders from Wichita and Kansas City.

Next year - WOOLF will celebrate the 30 year history of leather in Wichita, Kansas.
