Sep 03, 2007, Seattle - Before a packed room at The Cuff Complex, Michael "Odie" Heaston and David Caldwell were sashed as Northwest LeatherSIR and Northwest Leatherboy 2007, respectively.

In the absence of any contestants for the boot black title, Northwest Community Boot Black, Henry Brown was asked to continue for another year as Northwest Community Boot Black.

Odie and David will continue on to compete at the International LeatherSIR, Leatherboy & Community Boot Black contests, to be held over Columbus Day weekend in October in Dallas, Texas.

The excitement began on Friday, August 31st, with a Meet-and-Greet at The Cuff Complex. The contestants mingled and displayed their interactive skills in a social setting with a crushing crowd of leatherfolk and members of the greater GLBTQ community.

The Emcee of this year’s main event was the notorious Tony Buff,, Washington State Mr. Leather 2002, Producer of the Washington State Mr. & Ms. Leather Contest, member of the board of directors of Generic Leather Productions of Washington, and the latest Titan Exclusive. Tony kept the evenings festivities running smoothly and at a fevered pitch on Saturday, September 1st.

With photographers and videographers threading their way through a packed audience, the contestants were put through their paces. In a "round-robin" style, each contestant, in varying order, presented themselves in the categories of Leather Image & Speech, Physique/Jockstrap, and Fantasy Presentation. Earlier in the day, the Prejudging Interviews were conducted in private, also at The Cuff Complex.

The Judges were: Head Judge, Randal Kinnear, International LeatherSIR 2006; Eric Siglin, U.S. Daddy 2007; Tommie, Ms. Oregon State Leather 2006; Mistress Matisse, Author, Activist & Professional Dominant; Daddy Wendell Joost III, Northwest LeatherSIR 2006; Brandon “Puppy Ruffy”, Northwest Leatherboy 2006; and Henry Brown, Northwest Community Boot Black 2006.

U.S. Boy 2007, Earl Coffman, served as judge’s boy.
