Sep 2, 2008, Dallas - Mark Frazier, Executive Producer of ILSb / ICBB has announced that the keynote speaker at the Victory Brunch will be renowned writer, educator, speaker, community activist and "player" Race Bannon.

Race's speech will address the need to bring play out of the darkness, why it's long past due to proudly embrace such play as a lifestyle and the importance of having a titleholder put a face to it for our community.

Race's keynote will take place at Brunch on Sunday, Oct 12, 2008 at the Hotel Whitcomb, ILSb/ICBB's host hotel.

Race's bio:
Kinky sex has been one of Race Bannon's passions as a practitioner, organizer, educator, commentator, activist and leader since his first forays into the leather world in 1973. Since that time Race has ardently explored his own sexuality and encouraged others to do the same.

Considered one of the community’s reasoned voices, Race’s many accomplishments include founder of Kink Aware Professionals, a non-profit service that refers people to kink-sensitive psychotherapeutic, medical and legal professionals; leader of The DSM Project that led to a beneficial change in the way the psychotherapeutic profession views kink; author of the best seller Learning The Ropes: A Basic Guide to Safe and Fun SM Lovemaking (revised edition available as an e-book in early 2009); founder of Daedalus Publishing Company, the first publishing company dedicated to publishing non-fiction leather/SM/fetish books; writer of many articles on sexuality; former sex advice columnist; former producer and host of Bound To Talk, the first internet talk show about kinky sex; past Board member of NLA International, NLA Los Angeles and Avatar; and member of Chicago Hellfire Club.

He is prominently featured in the documentaries Vice and Consent and Out of the Darkness: The Reality of S&M. Race is regularly interviewed by the press, radio, and television as an expert on kinky sexuality and he has spoken to thousands of people at over 325 speaking engagements. Race can be reached through his web site at www.bannon.com. He lives in San Francisco with his partners Mike Pierce and Jim Knight.
