April 19, 2006, Philadelphia, PA - The Pennsylvania LeatherSIR / Leatherboy contest returns after a short hiatus Saturday, June 10, 2006, at The Bike Stop in Philadelphia during Pride Weekend.
The night is sure to be filled with hot men, tight rope and erotic leather-clad physiques in an action-packed contest to pick the Sir and boy that will best represent the Keystone State. Contestants stage a sexy leather fantasy to the theme of Bondage & Restraints, and are evaluated by a panel of judges on their knowledge, "leather image" and their physique in a jockstrap pose down. The contest starts at 5 pm sharp.
Both winners are invited guests on The Bike Stop float during the annual Philadelphia Gay Pride parade Sunday where the leather contingent has repeatedly taken home the 'Best Bar Float'. The w inners will represent PA at the Mid-Atlantic LeatherSIR / Leatherboy Contest held on July 8 in Baltimore, MD. Regional winners compete at the International LeatherSIR / Leatherboy contest on Columbus Day Weekend in Dallas, Texas.
LeatherSIR titleholders promote the gay leather community through community service, fundraising and education. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised by the LeatherSIR / Leatherboy community across North America. All contestants are required to be born males identifying either as a gay LeatherSIR or a gay Leatherboy residing within the mid-Atlantic region.
Attending the contest is free; donations and a 50/50 raffle benefit the Leather Tribe Hurricane Relief Fund and support the titleholders in representing PA. For information including contestant applications, visit www.midatllsb.com or email the producer, Rob Lemakos at PALSbContest@gmail.com.
The PALSb contest is just one of many leathery events, including a Hot Ash Smoker and a party sponsored by Manhunt during the Philadelphia Pride Weekend. The Bike Stop, home to the Philadelphia Leather Community, is located at 206 S. Quince Street between Walnut and Locust.
