June 12 2006, SEATTLE, WA – Cruising describes the act of searching about a public place in pursuit of a partner for sex. There will be plenty of cruising going on at Seattle’s Cuff Complex, as it is also the theme for this year’s Washington LeatherSIR, Leatherboy and Community Boot Black Contest, to be held at The Cuff Complex, 1533 13th Avenue, Seattle, on July 9th. Doors open at 6pm, and the evening’s festivities will begin at 7pm. The contest will feature Leathermen, leatherboys and Boot Blacks competing and being judged by a panel of judges comprised of leatherfolk from the Washington leather community. The Emcee for this event will be Washington State Mr. Leather 2002, Tony Buff.
The Boot Black Competition and Contestant Meet-and-Greet will be held on Friday, July 7th, at The Cuff Complex, 1533 13th Ave., Seattle, Washington. Private Interviews will be conducted during the day on Saturday, July 8th, at The Cuff Complex. The Timed Technical Skills Assessment for the Boot Black candidates will take place following the interviews - where the boot blacks will demonstrate their talents with high polish and oil tan boots.
The LeatherSIR & Leatherboy Contest will be held on the evening of July 9th at The Cuff Complex. Two American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters have been hired to provide translation for the deaf community. Contestants will demonstrate their talents and wherewithal in the categories of Interview, Leather Image & Speech, Physique and Fantasy.

The Judges for this contest are: Head Judge, Barry Burns, Northwest LeatherSIR 2004; Michael Congdon, Northwest LeatherSIR 2005, Enrique Nava, Washington Leatherboy 2005; Chez Sanchez, Washington Community Boot Black 2005; Daddy Karl Bronsdon, Seattle Leather Daddy 2006; Kirk Ludden, Seattle Daddy’s boy 2006; Allena Gabosch, Executive Director of Seattle’s Sex Positive Community Center (The Wetspot); and Jeff Henness, Founder & past-president of Seattle Men in Leather and Seattle Leather Daddy 1998.
The Cuff Complex and Seattle's Sex Positive Community Center are this year's corporate sponsors for the events of the weekend.
