Feb 11, 2008, Columbus, OH - Henry David Thoreau said, "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away."
In keeping with the tune of individuality as championed by Drummer magazine, then Drummer leather contests, it is only too ironic that Brian "Captain" McCoy, the first one-legged leatherman to compete at IML and Lady Justice, a free-spirited leatherwoman are the new co-producers of the Buckeye State LeatherSIR and Leatherboy contests.
The contest will take place the weekend of May 9th and 10th at our host bar, WOOFS in Columbus, Ohio. The OLS/b contest is a feeder contest for Great Lakes LeatherSIR and Leatherboy which will be held on August 22nd through the 24th of 2008. The winners of that contest will advance to represent the Great Lakes region at International LeatherSIR and Leatherboy over the Columbus Day weekend in San Francisco, CA.
Applications are available for those wishing to throw their proverbial "cap" into the ring. Any Ohio resident who is 21 years of age or older, "legally male" and "self identifies as gay male" can enter any local, regional feeder contest for the "International LeatherSIR/boy" titles, as has been the case for the International Community Bootblack title.
If you’d like more information about the Buckeye State leather contests or to schedule an interview with either of the co-producers, please contact Lady Justice at iron_goddess@sbcglobal.net or Brian "Captain" McCoy at sircaptainahab@yahoo.com.
