New Opportunities for Leathermen in West Virginia Theme for Great Lakes Region Also AnnouncedP R E S S R E L E A S E
Mar 26, 2008, Columbus, OH - We, the Co-Producers of the 2008 "Buckeye State" LeatherSIR & Leatherboy contests, are very pleased to announce a new opportunity for leathermen in West Virginia. For the first time ever, men in West Virginia have a choice, based on geography, to compete for Mid-Atlantic LeatherSIR & Leatherboy or "Buckeye State" LeatherSIR & Leatherboy. It has been expressed to me that many leathermen from West Virginia feel a kinship with Ohio and that their point of residence makes it easier for them to venture to Ohio for events. From this point forward, West Virginia will be a shared state in the LeatherSIR & Leatherboy family. Men from eastern West Virginia will still compete for the Mid-Atlantic titles, and men from western West Virginia will be newly eligible to compete for the "Buckeye State" LeatherSIR & Leatherboy contests. Thank you to Justin Costello, producer for the Mid-Atlantic region, for his consent in making this new beginning possible. Also recently announced are regional themes for International LeatherSIR & Leatherboy. This year’s theme for the Great Lakes region is "Bondage and Restraint." The winners of the "Buckeye State" LeatherSIR & Leatherboy contests will be the ONLY qualifying and recognized contestants to advance to the next round of competition, representing all of Ohio, at Great Lakes Leather Alliance's regional contests in Indianapolis, in August. The winners at Great Lakes' contests will then advance on to the next level at the International LeatherSIR/boy Contests in San Francisco. Additional information will be provided, as it becomes available, and can be found on: www.myspace.com/olsbcontest. Mark your calendars for May 9th-11th and make plans to come out and support our newest representatives and potential leaders of Ohio's leather communities.
